Donne Matheny

Donne Matheny, Veterinary Assistant

Although she grew up in Grass Valley, CA, Donne spent majority of her childhood exploring the Tahoe basin, and skiing. Being that she has always aspired to work in an animal care-oriented field, Donne started grooming and working as an animal caretaker after high school. Donne started taking college classes to obtain her undergraduate degree, and when she was offered a full-time role here at IVH in early 2016, she happily accepted. Donne continued her college curriculum and obtained her Associate of Arts in Business Entrepreneurship from Sierra Community College in May 2019. When she has a spare moment to herself, Donne enjoys skiing, kayaking, biking, hiking, and any other outdoor activities that Tahoe has to offer. She has a loving pitty mix named Rosie, and two cats- Rajah and Duchess.

Kailey Larson

Kailey Larson, Veterinary Assistant

Kailey grew up in Gardnerville, Nevada, leaving the nest after high school to pursue new ventures. She ended up in Portland, OR- where she began her career in animal care as a professional, private groomer, and as a veterinary assistant for a busy emergency hospital. Kailey longed for the Sierra Nevada Mountains and eventually moved back home in 2014, later joining the staff at IVH in early 2015. Although she loves working in the veterinary field, she is currently enrolled at Western Nevada College to pursue a degree in criminology. Kailey's zoo of companion animals include: a Border Collie mix named Rigby, a Portuguese Water Dog named Norman, two cats- Birdie & Floof, and two rabbits- Jim & Pam. In her free time, Kailey can be found listening to True Crime audiobooks, hiking her dogs, and travelling wherever the excitement is (and bringing plenty with her!).

Montana Kimmel, Veterinary Receptionist

Montana was born and raised in the Tahoe basin, and has lived here her entire life. Her
love for all animals guided her career path into the veterinary field, and she gained
experience as a kennel attendant and veterinary assistant before joining the staff at
IVH in October of 2019.
